2005-2006 Nissan Altima SE-R| The Best Altima Ever Made, Yet

When Nissan first brought out the 3rd generation Altima, it was a huge hit. The Altima became Nissan's best selling vehicle on the lineup. In 2005, Nissan Introduced the SE-R edition Altima. The Altima SE-R inherits its power and style from the well known 240SX SE-R, the well equipped Sentra SE-R, and the infamous Nissan 350Z. The Altima SE-R originated from the base model 2.5S Altima with some huge differences: Ward's top 10 awarded 3.5L V6 engine (VQ35DE) with 24 valves, 260 hp, and 251 lb. ft. torque; front and rear facias, that gives the Altima SE-R its sexy look; no chrome side moldings, just blacked-out side moldings; sunroof; rear spoiler; upgraded side skirts; 18" aluminum alloy Forged rims, that looks like snowflakes; sport suspension, that still needs a drop; 350Z-like exhaust tips (4" diameter); SE-R badging on the rear; blacked-out taillight housing; and four sporty metallic body colors: Code Red (A20), Smoke (K11), Sheer Silver (KY1), and Super Black (KH3).

On the interior, the Altima SE-R comes standard with leather seats with heated front seats. The Altima SE-R also comes with a center gauge set on the dash, giving it a 350Z-like cockpit style. The two front seats of the SE-R comes in two color combos: red and charcoal-black or grey and charcoal-black, giving the front bucket seats a sporty view. The Altima SE-R comes standard with a 6-speed manual transmission or a choice of a 5-speed automatic transmission with a manual mode. Both automatic and manual comes with an option to whether or not to equip TCS (TCS= Traction Control System.) Most 2006 model Altima SE-Rs have TCS already equipped.
